ABBREVIATED TERMS AND CONDITIONS (PLAIN ENGLISH – PLEASE READ)

  1. GOODS

    MintMicro sells Custom Built Computers and Computer related equipment (components) Components: Although we do our best to keep our catalogue of products in the most accurate state, the liability for errors and omissions will not be accepted and pictures are for illustration purposes only and might not correspond to the actual product. The buyer must ensure that the goods purchased are compatible with his/her requirements – please contact us if in any doubt. If an item is not in stock, the buyer is advised by an email of possible alternatives (that includes cancellation of the order with an immediate refund). Custom Built Systems: All of our systems are built to order within 5-15 working days of placing the order providing all the components are in stock. In the unlikely event that something is not in stock, we will advise of the alternative replacements of the same or higher specs. The management may grant free upgrades. After the systems are built, they are tested for at least 24 hours and only then they are dispatched with the delivery method that has been selected at the checkout. Cancellation of a custom built PC is not an option once it has entered the building process unless thoroughly discussed with a member of senior management. If a cancellation has been accepted by us, a 20% restocking fee is then applicable to cover costs of re-allocation. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods are tested within 48 hours after arrival. In the unlikely event they are found faulty, the fault has to be reported immediately. We do not guarantee that our PCs will be compatible with other equipment that is not purchased from us. This includes any peripherals or internally mounted devices

  2. OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE

    All products displayed are an invitation to look at our offers. By placing an order online or otherwise the buyer is making an offer that can be refused when the order is processed. The management reserves the right to refuse any offer without any explanation. We are not under any obligation to sell if there was an error in price, description, model and as such, we will be refunding the money paid, should this happen.
  3. PRICE

    All prices shown are exclusive of IVA unless otherwise stated and are subject to change without notice. Although we keep our catalogue up to date and accurate, it might be possible to find errors or omissions in which case the buyer will be contacted and advised if anything was incorrect and of possible alternatives. The delivery and handling charges are calculated when the product is added to the cart. There is no need to create an account or to give any personal information to find out the total price including delivery and taxes.
  4. DELIVERY

    Please note that normally we deliver to Spain only. For destinations other than Spain, the order might take longer to be dispatched/delivered. For other delivery options and countries, please contact us before ordering. Components. Currently we have several delivery options for component's orders that are shown when you add the product to the shopping basket and are calculated based on weight and product itself. Usually we deliver Monday to Friday with FED EX. If you require Saturday delivery, please contact us before ordering. Cut off time for components orders is 17:00. If you require anything after that for next day delivery, please contact us to check if that is possible. Custom Built Systems. All computers are built to order (5-15 business days) unless otherwise specified. Currently we do have two delivery options for PCs:

    a) Specially Insured Delivery with FEDEX (Recommended for our high end PC that may contain a heavy heat-sink and/or water-cooling solution.) This way of delivery excludes the risk of getting a DOA PC and the goods are insured for XXXX. The price for such service is as low as XXX ex IVA and applies to Spainish mainland locations only.
    b) Overnight Insured Delivery with secondary courier - The price is calculated on checkout and is based on weight and starts from as low as €8.99. Deliveries are done between 08:00 and 18:00 and the goods are insured for the full amount.

    If for any reason our couriers have been unable to deliver the items to you, they will attempt a delivery the second time at no charge and any other attempt will be charged at €5.50 to your account.
    The goods are normally held at the local depot for 5 working days before being returned to us. There is a €30 + IVA administration fee that will be automatically deducted from the full amount that will be refunded to you against the returned order.

    **Please note that it is imperative that you sign for your consignment as UNCHECKED (this means writing the word UNCHECKED below your signature)**

    This will ensure that should any damage be incurred in transit, we will be able to claim compensation. Failure to do so will result in any RMA as a result of damage in transit taking considerably longer to be processed.
  5. PAYMENT

    Currently we accept Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro and Solo online via paypal. All payments are processed in real-time at the moment of ordering. We do not store any card details on our system. If an order is requested to be cancelled, we aim to cancel and refund it the same business day. Please contact us for alternative methods of payment. We tend not to accept payment form internationally issued credit cards - please contact us for alternative methods of payment.
  6. REGISTRATION AND CHECKOUT

    MintMicro’s online store offers one of the quickest checkout procedures available today. At the moment of entering the details on the checkout information page, the buyer is automatically being assigned a password that is emailed together with the user name to the email address provided. It is possible to change the password from the account administration page at any time. All passwords are encrypted in our database and are not known to any of our staff. In order to retrieve a lost or forgotten password, please use the new password generation page that will instantly send an email to the email address given at registration/checkout with further instructions.
  7. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

    Components
    All our returns are processed via our automated online RMA system. No goods will be accepted without an RMA number. If you are buying for personal use as a private individual, you may cancel your order at any time within 7 days of receiving the goods, and we will refund the product prices paid, providing the order is not a custom order (a custom order is a product that is made or configured to your specifications or ordered on request for you from our suppliers). A special order is the order for products with the status other than 'same day dispatch'. Products must be returned unopened, unused and in the condition which they were sent. Customers are responsible for arranging and returning goods.Delivery costs are non-refundable. If a product was opened, and found to be working, the return will be subject to 25% restocking fee. When the refunds are made, please allow up to 5 days to appear on the card that has been used for payment. Custom Built Systems For custom built systems we do not accept any returns. At MintMicro, we are confident that our systems will not only meet the buyer’s expectations, but exceed them, and our production department aims to make sure that each PC or laptop built is 100% tested to guarantee the total enjoyment of the product. However, components are like people, not all are always compatible even though we would like them to be and in the unlikely event that the buyer is not entirely happy with the product chosen, the management will advise and replace any products such as Graphics, Sound, CPU, Case, motherboard etc and to advise of any increase/decrease to the original cost. It is assumed that by choosing own configuration the buyer knows that the product is made especially for him/her.
  8. WARRANTIES

    Components: Warranty does not cover incompatibility/physical damage, incorrect installation or overclocking/modification of the item(s) by the customer. Removal of warranty labels will immediately void the warranty. The company cannot accept any returns unless an RMA number has been issued. Some of the products are sold with the manufacturer's warranty that ensures a quicker return process including advance replacements. Monitors and Hard Drives are sold with the manufacturer’s warranty. Custom Built Systems: All of our systems are sold with 2 Year Premium RTB warranty, unless otherwise selected by the customer. System Warranties DO NOT cover any software or operating system problems, nor any peripherals or additionally installed equipment, however we are happy to assist remotely and help in solving the problems. In the rare occasions when we cannot solve the software problem over the phone, or via remote assistance we can offer to collect the system and investigate the problem. If it is found to be a hardware issue the faulty parts are replaced and the system is returned to the buyer at no charge. If the problem was purely a software problem, we will make a charge to cover the delivery expenses that depends on the delivery method used. BIOS related problems are treated as software issues. We request that our customers have some technical knowledge or are willing to fully cooperate on dealing with basic troubleshooting tasks in the event of system misbehaviour. The warranty does not cover physical damage, incorrect installation or overclocking/modification of the system by the buyer. The buyer can upgrade the system, but our warranty will not cover any 3rd party components, nor will the system be covered by the warranty in situations when the upgrade has caused direct or indirect damage to the whole system. If the system needs upgrading, we can offer such a service, please use our Online Fault Reporting, Interactive Troubleshooting and Upgrade System. The full details on upgrades are detailed in the warranty cards. Please note that the management reserves the right to refuse upgrades without any explanations in certain situations. It is crucial that the original packaging is saved in the event the system must be returned to us. If our Special Delivery method has been selected, it is important to save at least the Outer packaging that can be filled with bubble wrap if a system needs to be returned. Our warranty will cover overclocking/modification that has been done by us at the buyer’s request. If a RTB warranty has been selected and there is required to upgrade/repair the system we do offer a Collect and Return Service as detailed in the warranty card. An engineer visit will be granted as detailed in the warranty card.
  9. PRIVACY POLICY

    Sensitive data: We are totally committed to the highest standard of privacy as required by Data Protection Act and despise spam. We never trade, exchange or in any other way transmit any sensitive information to any third party except for the purpose of processing the payment and delivering the goods. We do send emails about any order updates to the email given at checkout/registration and they do not contain any adverts or unsolicited information. We have a newsletter that each buyer has the option to subscribe/unsubscribe at any time Cookies. To enable us to operate effectively, we send a cookie to each visitor's computer. This is done solely to improve the service we offer, statistical purposes and is not used to identify individuals. It is not possible to purchase anything from our store without cookies enabled in the browser. Links: This web site contains links to other web sites.   10. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

    Any order to be delivered outside the Spanish mainland is considered International order. We do accept international orders only by prior arrangement with one of our staff members. Please note that for orders outside Spain, the only payment method accepted will be bank transfer that will be confirmed after placing the order. Once agreed, please place the order online and choose the payment method - Cheque/Money Order. Currently we use FEDEX and XXX for our international shipments. The delivery price will be confirmed upon enquiry either before or after order being placed.Although we do ensure that our systems are very well packed and insured in transit, in the unfortunate event that damage will occur, all the shipping expenses for repair must be covered by the customer unless it has been signed as UNCHECKED and we can claim against the insurance. As an alternative to having the system back to us for repair it is recommended to find a local computer specialist that will identify the faulty part, which we will be able to send a replacement. Any shipping charges to and from us must be paid by the customer. Currently the warranty on International orders is Premium 2 years RTB - Return To Base. We can organise for the items to be collected and repaired/upgraded/serviced, however all the shipping expenses must be covered by the customer. Prices will be provided upon application. An engineer visit may be granted, where all the travel expenses must be covered by the customer.
  11. TRADING REGULATIONS

    If you are buying for personal use as a private individual, you may cancel your order at any time within 7 days of receiving the goods, and we will refund the product prices paid, providing the order is not a custom order (custom order is the product that is made or configured to your specifications). Products must be returned unopened, unused and in the condition which they were sent. Customers are responsible for arranging and returning goods. Delivery costs are non-refundable. These terms and conditions do not affect your personal statutory rights and may be amended without notice. Full Terms and Conditions are provided on request.
